Kilkenny is a city in the 'Sunny South East' of Ireland, 50 km north of Waterford and 120 km southwest of Dublin. Ireland's mediaeval capital, it offers the traveller the mixture of a rich cultural heritage, beautiful streetscapes, an exciting vibrant nightlife and great shopping opportunities. The River Nore flows through the city, splitting it in two, with most sights of interest on the western side of the river.
