Brighton is a famous seaside resort and charming city in East Sussex in southeastern England, 76 km (47 mi) south of London. In 2000, the neighbouring communities of Brighton and Hove joined to form the City of Brighton and Hove. Brighton is known for its grand Regency architecture, several landmarks in an oriental-inspired architectural style including the Grade-I Listed Pavilion, and for its large LGBT community.
