Thionville (French pronunciation: ​[tjɔ̃vil]; Luxembourgish: Diddenuewen; German: Diedenhofen [ˈdiːdn̩ˌhoːfn̩] (listen)) is a commune in the northeastern French department of Moselle. The city is located on the left bank of the river Moselle, opposite its suburb Yutz.
