Havlíčkův Brod (Czech pronunciation: [ˈɦavliːtʃkuːv ˈbrot]), until 1945 Německý Brod (Czech pronunciation: [ˈɲɛmɛtskiː ˈbrot]; German: Deutschbrod) is a town in Havlíčkův Brod District in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic. It has a population of about 23,000. It is located roughly in the geographical centre of the country, on the Sázava River in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands.
